May Recreation Equipment & Design, L.P. is a greater Houston area commercial-grade park and playground equipment company whose primary purpose is to provide our clients with recreational design concepts emphasizing safety and fun while utilizing competitively priced products manufactured by companies who share our high standards of ethics, quality and reliability.

Randy May
Agency Principal / OwnerRandy is a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a BBA in Accounting and Finance. He has a background in sales management and business development during his time spent in the manufactured housing industry in Waco, Texas. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Randy lived in virtually every corner of the US with eventual roots being placed in Texarkana, Texas, where he graduated from high school. Randy came to May Recreation in July of 1999 as a District Sales Manager and purchased the company in January of 2006. Randy is married to Ali May and has one child, Allie Beth. In his free time, Randy enjoys following college football, cooking and spending as much possible time with family and friends near water … in particular, the 30A area of the Florida Panhandle. -
Jeff Bigbie
Area Sales ManagerJeff grew up in the Houston area before moving to East Texas and going to high school in New London, Texas. He is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a BBA in Marketing. He has a background in residential construction and built homes in Austin and the East Texas area for 18 years. Jeff has lived in Tyler since 2001 and is married to Martie Bigbie and they have three children: Ashley, Charlie and Griffin. In his free time, Jeff enjoys following college football, working on the family farm, and especially loves spending time with his family and friends at Caddo Lake. He has been with May Recreation since November 2011. -
Jeff Bratton
Area Sales ManagerJeff is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a BS in Industrial Distribution. He has a background in technical sales from his days in the fluid power industry along with extensive knowledge of the construction industry as well. He is originally from Texarkana, Texas, but moved to the Houston area in 2005 when he began his career in the playground industry. In his free time, he enjoys hunting and fishing with his wife Jessica. Jeff started with May Recreation in December 2005. -
Matt J. Wanner
Area Sales ManagerMatt is a U.S. Army veteran with nine years in the service. He comes to May Recreation with an extensive background in construction and construction management since his receipt of his California contractor’s license in 1989. He subsequently began installing recreational products in 1990 including site amenities, multiple-stall public restrooms, service buildings, shade structures, splash pads and other unique architectural features. He moved to Katy, Texas, in 2009 as an exclusive Installation Partner for May Recreation and added sales and marketing to his responsibilities in 2019. In his free time, he enjoys fitness including weight training and running in addition to fishing with his wife Beverly.

Team PartnerMay Recreation has partnered with Greg Hilligiest and his team for over 5 years. Greg is an expert in the concrete industry and provides outstanding service on our projects.
Greg started in the concrete industry in 1978 and worked in a variety of positions before starting his own company in 2005. His knowledge, professionalism and attention to detail are huge assets to May Recreation. Our customers benefit greatly from his quality work and expertise.
When he’s not managing concrete projects, Greg enjoys hunting, fishing, boating or just about anything outdoors!
Greg and his team are based in Houston, Texas and service the Southeast Texas region.

Matthew I. Wanner
Team PartnerMay Recreation partners with Matthew Isaiah Wanner (Matthew the younger) for our project installations. Matthew and his team bring their knowledge, expertise and professionalism to all projects and continuously strive to exceed our customers’ expectations. Matthew Isaiah is a third-generation contractor and has been involved in construction and recreation equipment all his life. Matthew began installing play structures, shade canopies, bleachers and other site amenities since the middle of his teen years while still in high school. Matthew and his team have experience with many different manufacturers and have worked with Miracle Recreation systems for over 20 years. They install everything from site amenities, multiple-stall public restrooms, service buildings, shade structures, splash pads and other unique architectural features. Matthew’s hobbies include caring for his young daughter, building and launching hobby rockets, and crafting unique items with his 3D printer. Matthew moved to Katy, Texas, in 2009 with his father and began working with his father as an installer for May Recreation. Matthew works with the family installation business to bring service and excellence to the team.
